Welcome to Hands-On Cuisine, a project with the goal of taking you along on my culinary adventure through life, while showing you how easy it is to make fresh meals, save money, and impress your friends no matter what your skill level may be. In the future I hope to provide a wealth of information and entertainment for you as we explore new things, discuss the old, and grow together. I will share some exciting tips that can go a long way, and are simple enough for somebody with very little culinary experience to absorb and utilize.
As for me, as an accountant by day I cannot claim any fancy schmancy training, or years of restaurant experience. What I do bring to the table (how punny of me) are a few years of experience in my home kitchen, where I invent my own recipes and conquer the classics! That might sound a bit bold, but who can resist alliteration? I take a hands-on approach to cooking because I like to know where my ingredients come from, and enjoy finding out how things were done before people simply opened the freezer case at the grocery store. This has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of cooking, while making food for my family and friends that is fresh and delicious. So, for those of you out there looking to learn a thing or two together while having a great time (and of course, saving a buck or two) follow along. I promise you won't be disappointed!
